Decay is the one word no one wishes to hear when visiting the Dentist. Caused by the build up of plaque, a colourless bacterium which forms on teeth; Decay can result in the death of a tooth and significantly affect your well-being.

Oral decay is easily prevented, if good dental hygiene is carried out. We recommend the following cavity prevention steps;

• Brush your teeth twice daily (morning and night) with a soft rounded bristle toothbrush
• Brush up and down in a circular motion, gently brushing your gums
• Floss once daily to remove plaque and food caught between teeth
• Limit sugars and starches within the diet
• Utilise a toothpaste with added fluoride
